This is the first announcement of anything in a while that made me actually say "holy shit" out loud. Never thought I'd see the day. Thrustmaster is really going to have to come out with a hit now; they waited too long.
One of the more interesting implications of this is that direct drive support on Linux should actually exist somewhat now, for the five individuals for whom that's relevant, given that Logitech wheelbase have historically been the only ones that really work on Linux
